The 2021 Pritzker Architecture Prize, indicative of modern architectural trends, was jointly awarded to the French duo, Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal. United by the principle 'Never Demolish,' they undertook architectural remodeling of social housing units. Their approach to spatial remodeling, improving living spaces without displacing residents, demonstrates a commitment to enhancing spatial structures and sustainable strategies from social and environmental perspectives. This study examines their architectural philosophy through selected projects focused on residential complexes, aiming to provide direction for the reconstruction and redevelopment of complexes domestically.
