After the release of OpenAI's ChatGPT, generative AI based on large language models has been used to create various types of content, including text, images, music, and videos, as well as to solve complex problems and present new ideas. This study aims to explore how generative AI can analyze image data in spatial design and provide new insights for designers and researchers. The research combines literature review and experimental study to understand generative AI mechanisms, using ChatGPT 4o to analyze images and generated messages. The results show that ChatGPT can analyze drawings according to historical contexts, allowing multi-faceted interpretations based on cultural and social backgrounds. Despite some limitations in data quantity and sampling, this study confirms the diverse applications of generative AI and its value as a tool for innovative change.
