Currently, rapidly advancing technology is significantly impacting the field of education. In recent years, museums have introduced Augmented Reality (AR) technology, which is primarily used in informal learning environments to provide visitors with a more immersive and enriched learning experience. To achieve this, museums have adopted marker recognition methods and location-based service methods, two widely used AR technologies. Therefore, this study plans to conduct quantitative research to compare the effects of the marker recognition method and the location-based service method on learning engagement in museums. To this end, we will use questionnaires to deeply analyze the advantages and differences between these two methods. The aim of this research is to further promote the positive application of AR technology in museum learning environments through this analysis and to provide a basis for related decision-making.
