This study aims to review the literature on smart packaging design to identify the needs and desires of older people in smart packaging design of food for healthy aging. This study seeks to establish standards for requirements and evaluation of smart packaging design for the elderly. Accordingly, the research results show that, firstly, it is important to have a design that presents product information easily, simply, and clearly to help consume healthy foods to address problems arising from various characteristics of the aging process that occur due to the physiological combination of older consumers. do. Second, for older consumers, the readability, clarity, convenience and ease of use of food information, bright and clear colors and contrast, and simple and easy to use symbols for health-related product information are helpful for customer preference. Third, in terms of consumer awareness of smart packaging technology, it is desirable to increase product reliability by increasing familiar communication with technology and to pursue knowledge and understanding of smart packaging technology in an easy and quick manner for older consumers.
