This study analyzes the official design guidelines of major MR platforms(Meta, Apple, and Microsoft) from a visual design perspective. By identifying each platform’s unique design strategies and common elements, and integrating these findings with academic design recommendations, the study proposes a set of unified visual design principles applicable to MR environments. The results suggest the potential for platform-independent, scalable design standards, centered on six key principles: visual hierarchy, contrast, spatial alignment, immersion control, intuitive interaction, and visual safety. This research contributes to the establishment of integrated design strategies that bridge practical guidelines and academic perspectives in the development of MR content.
