With the growing interest in health management and home training, the use of healthcare devices—such as massage guns, blood pressure monitors, smartwatches, and foam rollers—has increased significantly. However, many of these devices are left unused or discarded despite being reusable, due to reduced usage, storage limitations, and the lack of proper collection and circulation systems. This leads to increased electronic waste and resource inefficiency, raising concerns from ESG and circular economy perspectives. This study analyzes domestic and international cases of resource circulation and refurbishment to address this issue and proposes service directions applicable to Korea. The findings highlight four key factors for activating device circulation: accessible collection systems, condition assessment and classification, trust in hygiene and performance, and user incentive mechanisms. The study contributes by reframing healthcare devices as recyclable resources and suggesting foundational directions for ESG-based circular service design.
