With the rapid development of digital media technologies, the exhibition of historical art assets has gradually shifted from traditional static displays to digital and immersive forms. This study takes G.MAP The Gap Within The Whole as a case study and analyzes the characteristics of immersive visual expression in the digital exhibition of historical art assets from the perspectives of digital media, spatial composition, and visual narrative. The findings indicate that the integration of digital restoration, multimedia presentation, and spatial design not only facilitates the digital dissemination of historical art assets but also enhances visitors’ immersive experience and understanding of historical and cultural content. This study suggests that immersive visual expression is achieved through the interaction of digital media, spatial composition, and visual narrative, providing a reference for the digital exhibition and design of historical art assets.
