초록 | Since the 2004 UN Global Compact, ESG management has become crucial, notably emphasized in the 2006 UN Principles for Responsible Investment. This study explores design's active role in ESG, focusing on the social aspect, especially employee welfare, through a comparative analysis of Patagonia, Logitech, and Apple. While environmental concerns dominate ESG, this research zeros in on the social sector. Patagonia integrates design into its corporate philosophy, positively impacting employee health. Logitech and Apple strategically use design in product development but have limitations in addressing internal employee needs. To enhance design's role in ESG, it's crucial to guide both product development and shape corporate culture positively. Acknowledging limitations due to limited corporate information, this paper aims for more in-depth research in the future. |
