초록
Graffiti was noticed by Keith Haring and Basquiat in the 1960s and is recognized as a genre of contemporary art. In modern times, many world-class artists are engaged in work mainly with Banksy. However, due to the nature of graffiti, the act of graffiti is precariously crossing the line between law and illegality. There are also cases where illegal graffiti can be punished for various reasons and not punished. In Seattle, the US, the 'Graphy Control Act' was revived. This study aims to investigate the consciousness of Korean university students related to such graffiti. The survey method was a survey method using a 5-point Likert scale, and analysis of perception was conducted according to the accumulation. As a result of the survey, it was analyzed that most of the college students recognized graffiti as an artistic act and responded positively. This is a different reaction from most news or articles related to graffiti in the Korean media. For the reliability of the research, it is necessary to investigate the perception of graffiti in Korea through a wider generation of graffiti perception surveys in the future.
